NIU SOCCER CAMPS
I would like to personally invite you to attend our 2016 NIU Elite College Prospect Camp. The main goal of our camp is to expose you to the challenges and expectations of being a college soccer player. We are excited to introduce you to the same methods of training that led to winning the MAC Championship and advancing to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament in 2011 and a trip back to the MAC Championship Final in 2012.
In our camps, we try to give you an experience that helps you “live like a college soccer player for a weekend”. In our three day camp, you will go through everything that our players at NIU do—Small sided games, functional training, 11v11 matches, video breakdown, strength and conditioning testing, speed and agility (SAQ) training, goal setting, and nutrition education. You will be trained by college coaches, and train with and against college players. Very simply, you will not find a better or more complete camp experience.
The truth about the current environment of recruiting is that prospect camps are the best way for a college coach to evaluate someone for their team. We can learn so much more about a player in our camp environment than we can from watching them play a game with their club or high school team. Myself and our coaching staff is involved with every aspect of our camp to make sure that we replicate what it is like to play at the college level. And there will be a number of coaches from other schools at all levels of college soccer at our camps as well. Whether you are looking to see what it’s like to play at the college level, or you just want to improve yourself as a player, our camp at NIU is for you!
